As part of our ever evolving efforts to ensure a healthier and greener earth we, the Sinalei team, were delighted to take part in this years Carbon offsetting drive initiated by the Young Pacific Leaders Program and supported by The US Embassy, Samoa, The Ministry of Natural Resource & Environment, Samoa and Samoa Conservation Society.

As a bi-product of the objectives set by 3 inspiring Samoan leaders, Christine Tuioti (Samoa Conservation Society) and Nathan Chong-Nee (Gaualofa Trust) of Samoa, and Michael Dyer (United Nations Development Programme) of Australia, this event seeks to not only contribute to neutralization of CO2 gases emitted by way of travel for all delegates whom attended the YPL 2019 conference, it also aims to raise the profile of environmental challenges affecting Samoa and the world at large and inspire support for the countries ambitious 2 million tree objective set for the year 2020.

The Sinalei Reef Resort and Spa staff and management enjoyed the fun & productive day of tree planting with our community on May 10th at the Vailima National Reserve.
