Agritourism Talanoa Experience Brings Chefs, Farmers and Businesses Together

The ‘Promoting Nutritious Food Systems in the Pacific’ Project Assistant Sema Bainivalu was a recent participant of an AgriTourism Talanoa Experience event  organised by the Pacific Agribusiness Research in Development Initiative (PARDI2), International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Pacific Islands Farmers Organization (PIFON). The event was held at the Tokatoka Resort on 27 – 28 February 2019.

The event has brought together Farmers, Tour Operators, SMEs, Private Sector, NGOs and CSOs to share experiences, identify opportunities to develop new agritourism products to increase value of tourism to communities and identify the business, market research and product development support needed to develop or improve agritourism experiences that meet market demand and increase the value of tourism to local economies.
